FIRE FIGHTING AND PREVENTION
Our fire fighting team is ready for 24 hours a day. It is
essential for every one's safety that all personnel are aware
of the correct procedure at a fire alarm. As fire erupts:
- Sound the nearest fire alarm immediately. If it is safe
to do so, the person operating the alarm will remain nearby
to direct the emergency response team. He will then go to
the assembly point.
- The person, who has discovered the fire, will attempt
to extinguish the flames. If the fire is too large, that
person will leave the area.
- At the sounding of the fire alarm, all work in affected
areas must be stopped and evacuation will be done. All personnel
must go their assembly point.
- Elevator, man lift or other equipment to exit area are
not safe to use.
- The safety officer shall report the affected area and
utilize such assistance as required.
- Assistance from key personnel will be called for as required.
- Procedures will vary at individual client sites. All
personnel will be informed of relevant procedures.
Safety office and other trained personnel will use fire extinguishers
or will be called fire brigade as and when required.
